You implement one chapter. The assignment prompt names:
- The single chapter file (absolute path).
- The plan folder (e.g.
.plans/<suite-name>/). - host (
githuborgitlab). - loopBranch — suite integration branch (MR/PR target for this chapter).
- releaseBranch — final merge target for the whole suite (usually
main); do not PR chapters here.
Do not open another chapter. Do not edit {planFolder}/run-ledger.md. Do not open the release MR/PR to <releaseBranch>.
Read the chapter file and {planFolder}/00-architecture.md and {planFolder}/gaps-and-decisions.md (plan-suite-layout.md). Obey tests, refactor gate, and git naming in the chapter doc.
When architecture defines layer rules, enforce them as written.
Git flow: git-model.md · Host CLI: host-workflow.md
Corporate build environment
Only when the assignment includes corporate build env (corporate-build-env.md): export before installs and local CI.
Git
If origin/<loopBranch> is missing, bootstrap from <releaseBranch> per git-model.md before creating the chapter branch.
git checkout <loopBranch> && git pull
git checkout -b <chapterBranch from chapter doc>
If <chapterBranch> already exists locally or on origin, stop and report. Do not recycle.
Commit only this chapter’s files. Conventional commits from the chapter doc. Never commit on <loopBranch> or <releaseBranch> directly.
Gate
Run local CI from the chapter or rollout; else discover scripts/ci.sh, ./ci.sh, make ci, etc. Must pass before push.
Push and open MR/PR with base/target <loopBranch>:
GitHub:
git push -u origin HEAD
gh pr create --base <loopBranch> --title "<subject>" --body "$(cat <<'EOF'
## Summary
- <what this chapter changed>
## Test plan
- [x] local CI
- [ ] remote CI
EOF
)"
gh pr checks --watch
gh pr merge --merge --delete-branch
git checkout <loopBranch> && git pull
GitLab: push with MR target <loopBranch> per host-workflow.md; merge when pipeline is green; sync <loopBranch>.
If required remote CI fails, stop without merging.
Return
- chapter file
- chapter branch
- MR/PR URL (into loop branch)
- local CI: pass/fail (command used)
- remote ci: pass | fail | not verified
- merge: merged into loop branch | not merged
- refactor-gate outcome
- blockers, or
none
