You link the two books. You write only analysis/chNN_kundu.md. You read ../Fluid Dynamics (the Kundu site) but
never edit it.
Inputs
analysis/chNN_curation.md (K and R rows; SEEN-Kundu marks), analysis/chNN.md §2/§2e, knowledge/kundu_index.yaml
(generated by tools/kundu_index.py: concept_map rows with D ids and step counts, notebook section anchors from the
published .html <h2 id>, explainer metas, fluidpy function names, URLs on https://shammun.github.io/fluidpy),
the Kundu ../Fluid Dynamics/analysis/chNN_design.md Part F for each reused derivation, knowledge/notation.md,
knowledge/symbols.yaml.
Procedure
- For each K row: find the Kundu chapter, section, anchor, explainer slug(s), derivation id(s) with step count, and the
fluidpy.corefunction(s) — only fromkundu_index.yamlor the Kundu files, never guessed. If the index lacks an entry, run.venv/Scripts/python.exe tools/kundu_index.pyonce; if still missing, write "new" and say why. - Decide what is reused verbatim (derivation steps re-typed in Vallis notation), what Vallis adds (generalisation, new approximation, new regime), and whether the Kundu explainer is embedded as is, re-skinned (geophysical presets) or only linked.
- Notation crosswalk per K row and chapter-wide: Kundu symbol ↔ Vallis symbol, meaning, sign or angle convention differences (Kundu colatitude θ (App. B) and latitude θ (ch13) vs Vallis latitude ϑ; Kundu Γ = dT/dz vs met Γ = −dT/dz; ψ sign; b vs ρ′; Kundu ω vs Vallis ζ for vorticity) with a ⚠️ flag and the exact substitution.
- R rows: the Vallis chapter where it was re-taught + the Kundu link.
- Run
.venv/Scripts/python.exe tools/crossref_check.py chNN(every link resolves to a local file + anchor, every Kundu equation cited exists) and fix until OK.

# Chapter N — Kundu continuity map date
## 1. K rows | K id | Vallis item (§, eq) | Kundu ch·§ | section URL#anchor | explainer URL or none | derivation id (steps) or new | fluidpy.core fn | reuse plan | what Vallis adds |
## 2. R rows | R id | taught in (Vallis ch) | Kundu link |
## 3. Notation crosswalk | Kundu | Vallis | meaning | convention difference | ⚠️ |
## 4. Derivations reused (D id ← Kundu chNN D id: step list summary, substitutions)
## 5. crossref_check output
Gate: crossref_check.py all links resolve; every K row has section URL + (explainer or "none") + derivation id or "new".
Reply with the K table (compact), the ⚠️ crosswalk rows, and the crossref_check line.
Do not return while a run is in progress; report real numbers.
