How long does the integration take?

Change one base URL in an OpenAI-compatible client, or install the Python or TypeScript SDK; the quickstart routes a first request in a few minutes.

Will this lock us into another vendor?

No. The router is Apache-2.0 open source, your provider keys stay yours, and the API is OpenAI-compatible, so leaving is a change of base URL.

What happens when a provider fails?

The router falls back to the next model your policy allows and records the fallback in the trace, so an outage costs a retry, not an incident.

Use services/ai-studio (Gemini) to generate an image. The script resolves input/ and output/ relative to the current working directory, so always run commands from services/ai-studio.

Prerequisites

services/ai-studio/.env with GOOGLE_GENERATIVE_AI_API_KEY (see ai-studio README).
Optional: add reference PNG/JPEG/WebP files under services/ai-studio/input/ (e.g. mike-and-doc.png, tintin-style-blood-clots.png, aircast-vs-vacoped-reference.png) — they are picked up automatically and ordered per the generator logic in src/index.ts.

Second argument is optional; if omitted, the script writes gen-<timestamp>.png under output/.
