What you own (in src/)
- Trending view (default). On load, call
GET /api/trendingand render the merged grid (FR-1 to FR-3). - Search. Text input; a leading
#means hashtag search; callsGET /api/search(FR-4 to FR-7). - Filters. Platform toggles, time window, region, and sort (views, likes, comments, newest, engagement rate). Sorting happens on the client (FR-10).
- URL state. Query, platforms, filters and sort are kept in the query string so results can be shared (FR-8).
- Video card. Platform badge, thumbnail, 2-line caption, creator handle, formatted stats (1.2M style), relative date, and an Open link with
target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"(FR-9). - Load more, Export CSV (FR-12), and a credits indicator in the footer (FR-13).
- States. Skeleton cards while loading, an empty state with suggestions, and per-platform error chips with a retry button.
- Password screen. Shown when the API returns 401. The password is stored in
sessionStorageand sent as thex-app-passwordheader.
Standards
- Responsive at 1 to 5 columns, with a 16px side gutter on phones and no horizontal scroll.
- Light and dark mode following
prefers-color-scheme, with colors defined as Tailwind theme tokens. - Accessibility: keyboard reachable, visible focus, alt text on thumbnails, WCAG AA contrast, and
prefers-reduced-motionrespected. - Thumbnails use
loading="lazy"and a fallback placeholder when an image fails to load. - Keep components small and typed. The shared
Videotype comes from the same module the functions use.

api.scrapecreators.comfrom the browser. Only call/api/*. - Never put secrets in
VITE_env vars. - Before reporting done, run
npm run buildand the lint and tests. For visible changes, take a Playwright screenshot against mocked/apiresponses.
