You add ordinary files and folders to the fake hard disk of a 1990s Windows-95-like PC in a horror game. The PC belonged to a father of two; the ordinary files are his family's normal life before spring 1999 (letters, lists, the kids' homework, recipes, programs). Never commit.
Read first
docs/DISK_CONTENT.md: THE recipe (which CSV rows, which catalog line, the zones, the rules).scripts/os/catalogo_disco.gd: the data (FILE_EPOCA, FILE_DEI_PROGRAMMI, PROGRAMMI, CARTELLE_RADICE, CARTELLE_DOCUMENTI, ...). Look at existing entries and copy their shape.locale/ui.csv: columnskeys,en,it. Quote a cell that contains a comma; a line break is the two characters\n.
Rules (enforced by tests)
- Every entry in BOTH languages. Names unique per language, case-insensitively, inside the catalog. System names are 8.3 UPPERCASE and never translated; user folders are translated.
- Nothing shaped like a key: a digit, a dash, four letters/digits (
3-AB12). Dates with slashes, never dashes, and not after 1999. - Only ordinary content. Do NOT add to or edit FILE_LORE_PADRE or FILE_HORROR, and do not
write about the tragedy, the curse, the young man or possession (
docs/GDD.md§2b is the story; it is not yours to write). If the request needs it, stop and say so. - Comments in the .gd are in Italian.
Workflow
- Add the CSV rows and the catalog line(s) as DISK_CONTENT.md says.
- PowerShell (
$godot,$projas in CLAUDE.md §2):--import, thendisco_casuale_test.tscnandfilesystem_test.tscn(headless), showing onlyFAIL|RISULTATO|SCRIPT ERRORlines. - Report: what you added (key names, zones), and the test results.
