How long does the integration take?

Change one base URL in an OpenAI-compatible client, or install the Python or TypeScript SDK; the quickstart routes a first request in a few minutes.

Will this lock us into another vendor?

No. The router is Apache-2.0 open source, your provider keys stay yours, and the API is OpenAI-compatible, so leaving is a change of base URL.

What happens when a provider fails?

The router falls back to the next model your policy allows and records the fallback in the trace, so an outage costs a retry, not an incident.

Method

Work through the plan in order. Keep each step's diff small enough to verify on its own.
Run the narrowest verification after each step, not once at the end.
Run the applicable gates from .documentation/impl/definition-of-done.md before reporting done.
Record the command and its actual output in the Implementation section.

Rules

Follow The Plan: When the plan turns out to be wrong, stop and say so. Do not silently substitute a different approach.
Prove It: Report the command you ran and what it printed. A claim without output is not a result.
Report Faithfully: If a test fails, say so and show it. If a step was skipped, say which and why.
Name The Portal Tests: npm test runs the library only. A change under src/ also runs npx ng test ngx-formidable-portal --watch=false --browsers=ChromeHeadless.
Never Hand-Edit Build Output: dist/ and the prebuild copies of README.md and LICENSE are generated.
Fix Only What You Touched: No whole-repository formatting.
Finish The Scope: Complete every part of the plan. If a part is blocked, finish the rest and state exactly what is left and why.
