Amazon Bedrock now supports access to OpenAI GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna models for teams in Australia. The models can be invoked with global cross-Region inference from the Asia Pacific (Sydney) and (Melbourne) Regions.

The post details how to invoke the models, implement prompt caching, and set up Codex with OpenID Connect authentication. Monitoring usage is supported through Amazon CloudWatch.

This update allows Australian users to run large language models locally within their region, reducing latency and improving data privacy. It also simplifies integration with existing AWS infrastructure.
