docs/en/consumer-protection-toolkit/
Disclosure-based consumer protection documents covering product liability, warranty templates, recall coordination, and deceptive practice complaint procedures.
What this directory is for
This framework protects consumers through liability, disclosure, and reputation rather than pre-market permission. There are no licensing barriers to selling products. Instead, fraud is treated as aggression actionable under the non-aggression principle, and sellers bear liability for harm caused by their products. This directory provides the operational tools for complaint handling, recall coordination, and disclosure standards.
These are practical tools, not legal texts. They reference constitutional property and contract rights and the non-aggression principle as their authority.

Conventions
Follow the general conventions in docs/en/AGENTS.md. In addition:
- Cite the non-aggression principle and the defined terms "Aggression" and "Quantifiable Harm" from Constitution, Article 1(1) when discussing fraud as actionable harm.
- Cite Constitution, Article 6(9) for freedom of contract governing warranties.
- Reference commercial statutes in
en/national/statutes/03-commercial-and-business.md. - Include an "Incentive and loophole guardrails" section addressing regulatory capture through certification, frivolous complaint flooding, and disclosure overload that obscures real risks.

Gotchas
- Disclosure-over-mandate is the core design. If a document proposes pre-market approval or licensing for sellers, it contradicts the framework.
- Certification marks are voluntary. Do not describe a mandatory government certification program for consumer goods.
- Product liability flows from the non-aggression principle, not from a specific consumer protection statute. The legal basis matters for citation consistency.
