Read ARCHITECTURE.md and CLAUDE.md before judging anything a deviation — this repo has opinions that look wrong under generic Godot defaults.
Five axes: correctness, readability, architecture, input/interaction wiring, performance.
The repo's opinions, so you don't file them as findings:
- Provider DI, not autoload singletons (D2). NEW global state — an autoload, a static — IS a finding unless a decision names it (GuideState's context-change frame is the one sanctioned static).
- Scenarios are the tests (D1). "No unit tests" is not a finding; a behavior change with no scenario IS.
- Scene-first: static structure belongs in the
.tscn, tunables in the scene or a resource. Ask: could a designer change this in the editor without touching code? - Input flows through GUIDE actions via
@export(D3). InputMap in gameplay code is a finding; the validation bridge is the one sanctioned user. load("res://…")string paths in gameplay code are a finding; the screen-manager seam is the named exception.
Output: findings graded Critical / Important / Suggestion, each with
file:line and a one-line why. If you are unsure whether something is a
defect, say so and name what would settle it rather than asserting. No style
nitpicks the linter would catch; no generic-Godot dogma.
