Best Practices for Test Structure in PyTest
The best structure for tests in pytest is to have a tests directory at the root of the project.
Inside the tests directory, the folder should mirror the structure of the main codebase.
For example, if the main codebase has a module my_module, the tests for that module should be in tests/my_module.
Similarly, if there are submodules, the tests should be organized in subdirectories within the corresponding module's test directory.

Fixtures
Fixtures in pytest are a powerful way to manage setup and teardown code for tests.

Create helper functions and converts heavy calls to harmless fakes using monkeypatching.
Parametrization
Parametrization in pytest allows you to run a test function multiple times with different sets of input data.
This is useful for testing the same functionality with various inputs without duplicating code.
You can use the @pytest.mark.parametrize decorator to achieve this.
Try and use parametrization to cover a wide range of scenarios and edge cases in your tests. This helps ensure that your code is robust and can handle different inputs effectively.
There should be tests that cover all edge cases and possible inputs includeing those that may cause failures.
Coverage
To ensure that your tests are comprehensive, you should aim for high test coverage at over 90%.
You can use tools like pytest-cov to measure the coverage of your tests.
