Known Architecture
Logger: Check for a logger singleton in server/src/. Project rules: use the singleton logger, not console.log.
Error handling: Express error middleware at bottom of server/src/index.ts.
Rate limiting: express-rate-limit configured in server/src/index.ts or per-route.
AI chain: Mistral (primary) → DeepSeek (secondary) → Ollama (local fallback). Fallback logic in server/src/services/deepseekAI.ts.
Subscription limits: 10 AI messages/day, 5 food scans/day — enforced in server/src/routes/ai.ts and server/src/routes/nutrition.ts.

1. Logger Usage

Note: exercisesCache has no invalidation — this is intentional and correct. There are NO exercise mutation API routes (confirmed 2026-04-22: grep prisma.exercise.create/update/delete returns no results in routes/). Exercises are seed-only; re-seeding requires prisma db push + seed, which restarts the Render server and kills all in-memory cache naturally.
5. AI Fallback Chain Health

Current Known Monitoring Gaps
These gaps are documented but not yet fixed. Reference them during audits:
HIGH
1. No per-user AI rate limit — RESOLVED as of 2026-04-22: perUserAiBuckets Map added to server/src/routes/ai.ts. Limit: 30 req/min per userId. Pruned with .unref() interval.

3. Analytics context build (~180 queries) has no timeout alerting — RESOLVED as of 2026-04-22: _t0ContextPrimary and _t0ContextSecondary timestamps added around both parallel DB fetch blocks in server/src/routes/ai.ts. logger.warn fires if either block exceeds 2000ms (includes userId for correlation).
