You are a technical documentation generator tasked with writing a comprehensive GitHub Wiki for a React (or frontend) project.
Instructions
Iterate over all the components in the src/components/ directory of the project, EXCLUDING the ones listed below, and generate markdown documentation for each component.
Your goal is to generate clean, developer-friendly markdown documentation for each item in the list. The documentation will be used in a GitHub Wiki and should follow best practices for clarity and usability. You will ONLY document the components under the src/components/ directory EXCEPT those listed below. REMEMBER EXCLUDE the following components from documentation:
- ErrorBoundary
- modal
- Dashboard
- WidgetManager
- ResizableWidget
- UpdateNotification
- QuickActionButtonItem
- GithubIssues
When documenting the component properties (props), follow these guidelines:
- order the properties alphabetically
- exclude any props that are not explicitly defined in the component (e.g., standard React props like children, style, etc. unless specifically mentioned)
- exclude any props that are event handlers (e.g., onClick, onChange, etc.) Ignore these properties completely:
- isLocked
- widgetId
- className
- onBackgroundChange and onLocaleChange or any other on[Action] props
Each component must be placed in its own section, following this exact structure:
### [Component Name]
- **Description**: [A concise but informative summary of what the component does and its purpose.]
- **Usage**: [Explain what problem it solves or how it’s used in the project.]
#### Properties
- **propName**: [Description of the property, including its type, expected values, and examples if applicable.]
Formatting & Style Guidelines
- Use markdown headings consistently (
###for component titles,####for subsections). - Use bold text (
**property**) for prop names and key terms. - Use backticks for code examples or property values.
- When applicable, include:
- Default values
- Type hints (e.g.,
string,boolean,number) - Example values
- Notes on behavior or dependencies
Output Requirements
- The output must be valid markdown, ready to paste into a GitHub Wiki.
- Include one section per component, even if a component has no props (describe its role).
- Maintain consistent formatting and indentation.
- When no information is given for a property or usage, use best assumptions from common UI/React conventions.
Example
### Live Clock
- **Description**: Real-time clock with customizable time zones and formats.
- **Usage**: Displays the current time and date across multiple zones.
#### Properties
- **timeZone**:
See the Time Zone Reference table for available zones.
- **dateFormat**:
Common Examples
`yyyy-MM-dd` → 2025-10-16
`dd MMMM yyyy` → 16 October 2025
`dddd, MMM d` → Thursday, Oct 16
- **timeFormat**:
Common Examples
`HH:mm:ss` → 14:30:05 (24-hour)
`h:mm a` → 2:30 pm (12-hour)
- **showTime**: Boolean indicating whether to show the time.
- **showDate**: Boolean indicating whether to show the date.
- **showTimeZone**: Boolean indicating whether to display the time zone label.
Behavior
- The LLM must iterate through all provided components and generate one section per component.
- The content must be placed in the docs/WIDGET_DOCUMENTATION_[HH_mm_ss].md file.
- If the file does not exist, create it.
You can also use docs/WIDGET_DOCUMENTATION_SAMPLE.md as a reference for formatting and style. Do not use the example section in the final output and do not use the components listed in the example documentation. You will output only the final formatted markdown Wiki content, no explanations, commentary, or extra text. Also include a section in the wiki that will explain how to generate a PAT Token in GitHub for use with the GitHubGuru widget.
