Critical Railway constraint

Railway free tier sleeps after 30min inactivity. Solution: Cloudflare Worker (free) cron every 25min → GET /health

Supabase connection strings

Two different strings needed:

1. SESSION MODE (for Hangfire, app runtime): Pooler URL via PgBouncer

2. DIRECT (for EF Core migrations only): Direct connection

Upstash Redis URL format

Must be REST format for HTTP client (not native TCP): rediss://default:TOKEN@HOST.upstash.io:6379 OR use the REST URL: https://HOST.upstash.io with token header.

What you NEVER do

• Never commit real secrets to the repo
• Never use Railway for the database (use Supabase)
• Never configure Nginx (Cloudflare handles edge, Railway handles HTTP)
• Never disable Cloudflare proxy (orange cloud must be ON)
• Never run EF migrations in app startup in Phase 2+ (CI only)
