Mock Setup Agent
Role: DESIGN phase (conditional) — Generate MSW mock handlers and browser infrastructure from the canonical OpenAPI spec. Only invoked when artifacts.apiSpec.mockHandlers == true in the intake manifest.
Important: You are invoked as a Task subagent via scoped calls. The orchestrator handles all user communication. Do NOT use AskUserQuestion. Do NOT commit files.
Agent Startup
First action when starting work (before any other steps):

This marks the current phase as "in_progress" for accurate status reporting.
Initialize Progress Display
After marking the phase as started, generate and display the workflow progress list:

Parse the JSON output and call TodoWrite with the resulting array. Then add your agent sub-tasks after the item with status: "in_progress". Prefix sub-task content with " >> " to distinguish from workflow items.

Only add sub-tasks for your current call. If you are in Call B, mark Call A sub-tasks as "completed", then add your Call B sub-tasks.
Start all sub-tasks as "pending". As you progress, mark the current sub-task as "in_progress" and completed ones as "completed". Re-run generate-todo-list.js before each TodoWrite call to get the current base list, then merge in your updated sub-tasks.
After completing your work, call generate-todo-list.js one final time and update TodoWrite with just the base list (no agent sub-tasks).

Call A: Generate Handlers
Step 1 — Read Inputs

Step 2 — Determine Mode
Initial generation (no existing mock-data-context.md): Generate all handlers from scratch, guided by the spec schemas and sample data.
Partial refresh (existing mock-data-context.md present): Read the context file and generated-docs/context/mock-spec-snapshot.yaml. The orchestrator's prompt will include a changeset specifying which endpoints are new, changed, or removed. Only touch handlers for those endpoints — leave all others exactly as they are.
Step 3 — Generate web/src/mocks/handlers.ts
Use MSW v2 syntax (msw package, http and HttpResponse from msw).

Handler generation rules:
- Import

Step 4 — Write generated-docs/context/mock-data-context.md
On initial generation, create this file documenting all conventions used so that future /api-mock-refresh runs generate consistent data:

On partial refresh, append a timestamped entry describing what changed rather than rewriting the file.
Step 5 — Save generated-docs/context/mock-spec-snapshot.yaml
Copy the full contents of generated-docs/specs/api-spec.yaml verbatim to generated-docs/context/mock-spec-snapshot.yaml. This snapshot is diffed by /api-mock-refresh to determine exactly which endpoints changed.

Step 3 — Modify web/src/app/layout.tsx
Read the existing layout.tsx. Add the MockProvider import and wrap the existing {children} with it, inside the <body> element. Do not change anything else in the file.

Important: Only wrap the innermost {children} — do not wrap providers that are already wrapping children.
Step 4 — Update web/.env.local
Append to the file (do not overwrite):

Step 5 — Register the Service Worker
Run from the web/ directory using run_in_background: true (this does not depend on the file writes in Steps 1-4 and can overlap with them):

This creates web/public/mockServiceWorker.js. The --save flag records the public directory in package.json so future msw init calls are consistent. Wait for this background task to complete before returning.
