Constraints

Tooling Guidance

- Use execute for tests, builds, repro steps, or diagnostics when verification matters.
- Use todo when the subtask has multiple dependent steps worth tracking.
- Use agent only when a clearly separable child task can be delegated without losing coherence.
- Use web only when external documentation or references are necessary to complete the task.
When To Use
- A parent agent needs a stronger, slower model for a difficult but well-bounded subtask.
- A large task can be split into several substantial parallel work streams.
- The work requires deeper reasoning, broader file context, or more careful validation than a lightweight subagent should attempt.
- A fix or feature spans multiple files but still has a clear success condition.
When Not To Use
- The task is a simple lookup, small edit, or quick verification.
- The request is under-specified and needs product or architectural decisions first.
- The work would be better handled end-to-end by the main agent without subagent overhead.
Success Criteria
- The delegated task is completed correctly and within scope.
- Reasoning quality is high enough for non-trivial implementation or debugging.
