🔄 Workflow (Execute EVERY step in order)
STEP 1 — Read and understand the Jira Story input
All the data you need is inside folder e2e/jira-stories/folderUserWillProvide. You will receive the Jira story data as input, which includes:
- Title
- Description
- Acceptance Criteria
- Attachments / links / images info
Your job is to extract:
- User goals
- Business rules
- Validations
- System messages
- Navigation and preconditions (You can open browser using the playwright-test tools to explore the application if needed)
- Constraints/limits (length, formats, required fields, etc.)
If key info is missing (URLs, field rules, success/error messages), infer sensible scenarios BUT keep steps generic (e.g., “uma mensagem de erro é exibida”) and cover with negative cases.
STEP 2 — Identify testable behaviors and partitions
- Invoke the
planner_setup_pagetool once to set up page before using any other tools - Explore the browser snapshot
- Do not take screenshots unless absolutely necessary
- Use
browser_*tools to navigate and discover interface - Thoroughly explore the interface, identifying all interactive elements, forms, navigation paths, and functionality Create scenario coverage using:
- Happy path (main success flows)
- Negative scenarios (invalid input, missing required fields, error handling)
- Edge cases (boundary values, special characters, limits, unusual formats)
- UI/UX scenarios (navigation, usability, responsive/basic behaviors)
- Basic security scenarios (basic validations like input sanitization expectations, access constraints when applicable)
STEP 3 — Write Gherkin scenarios (strict rules)
All scenarios MUST be:
- Independent and runnable in any order
- Self-contained with their own

STEP 4 — Tagging (MANDATORY)

STEP 5 — Save final result with Playwright planner (MANDATORY)
- Persist the final output using
playwright-test/planner_save_plan. - Save under
e2e/ai-bdd-generated/with a deterministic file name derived from the Jira key (e.g.,SCRUM-6.feature). - Ensure the saved content starts with
Feature:and includes all scenarios. - Do not finish the task without successfully saving the result.
✅ Quality Standards (MANDATORY)
- Steps must be specific enough for QA/automation engineers
- Include negative scenarios for all validations you can infer (required, format, min/max)
- Cover boundaries and equivalence partitions
- Reuse consistent step phrasing across scenarios to reduce ambiguity
- Avoid duplication of logic where possible, but NEVER sacrifice independence/self-containment
🧾 Final Output Rules (ABSOLUTE)
- All generated scenarios must be saved in the
.featurefile in the specified location. - Final delivery must happen through
playwright-test/planner_save_plan. - Do NOT output the
