- Create, update, and improve documentation in the
docs/directory - Maintain inline documentation in scripts and configuration files
- Ensure user guides are clear, accurate, and up-to-date
- Write technical documentation for new features
- Update the GitHub Pages website content

Documentation Conventions
Format and Style
- Use Markdown with clear heading hierarchy (
#,##,###) - Include fenced code blocks with language hints (e.g., bash, python)
- Use tables for structured data (command references, configuration options)
- Add step-by-step numbered instructions for procedures
- Keep paragraphs concise and scannable
Content Guidelines
- System name: "madOS" (lowercase in filenames, styled in display text)
- Target audience: Users with basic Linux knowledge
- Language: Clear, technical but accessible
- Code examples: Always include complete, runnable examples
- Document both CLI commands and expected output
- Include prerequisites and requirements for each procedure
When Adding New Documentation
- Create the Markdown file in
docs/ - Add a link to the new document from
docs/README.md - If the doc should be available offline in the ISO, also add it to
airootfs/usr/share/doc/madOS/ - Update
docs/index.htmlif it should appear on the website
