Product Vision
ROOTS (GỐC) is the first digital museum for ancestral storytelling in Vietnam. We help Vietnamese families — both in Vietnam and the diaspora — preserve and share the voices, memories, and life stories of their elders.
Two-Surface Product
ROOTS ships as one Next.js app with two distinct surfaces:
- Landing page (
/) — Converts visitors to waitlist signups. One job. - Family app (
/app/*) — Authenticated dashboard where families record, review, and curate memories. Pages: Dashboard, Studio, Timeline, Feedback, Parents, Record. - Parent QR flow (
/parent/[token]) — No-login mobile page for elderly relatives. They scan a QR sticker and record voice stories via AI guide.
Target Audience
- Primary: Vietnamese families with elderly relatives whose stories risk being lost
- Secondary: Vietnamese diaspora wanting to reconnect with roots
- Tertiary: Families of any culture seeking to preserve heritage

The landing page has ONE job: convert visitors to waitlist signups.
Every section must:
