Common Patterns
Blaze Setup with Kupmios Provider:
import { Blaze, Core, Kupmios, ColdWallet } from "@blaze-cardano/sdk";
// Setup provider (Kupmios connects to Dolos or Ogmios)
const provider = new Kupmios({
ogmiosUrl: process.env.OGMIOS_URL || "http://localhost:1337",
kupoUrl: process.env.KUPO_URL || "http://localhost:1442"
});
// Create wallet
const address = Core.addressFromBech32(
"addr1qx2kd28nq8ac5prwg32hhvudlwggpgfp8utlyqxu6wqgz62f79qsdmm5dsknt9ecr5w468r9ey0fxwkdrwh08ly3tu9sy0f4qd"
);
const wallet = new ColdWallet(address, 0, provider);
// Initialize Blaze
const blaze = await Blaze.from(provider, wallet);
console.log("Wallet address:", wallet.address.toBech32());
Building Transactions with Blaze:
import { Blaze, Core } from "@blaze-cardano/sdk";
// Send ADA
async function sendADA(
blaze: Blaze<Kupmios, ColdWallet>,
toAddress: string,
lovelace: bigint
) {
const recipient = Core.addressFromBech32(toAddress);
const tx = await blaze
.newTransaction()
.payLovelace(recipient, lovelace)
.complete();
console.log("Transaction CBOR:", tx.toCbor());
return tx;
}
// Multi-output transaction
async function sendMultiple(blaze: Blaze<Kupmios, ColdWallet>) {
const addr1 = Core.addressFromBech32("addr1...");
const addr2 = Core.addressFromBech32("addr1...");
const tx = await blaze
.newTransaction()
.payLovelace(addr1, 5_000_000n)
.payLovelace(addr2, 10_000_000n)
.payAssets(addr1, new Map([
["policyId" + "assetName", 100n]
]))
.complete();
return tx;
}
Smart Contract Interaction:
import { Blaze, Core, makeValue } from "@blaze-cardano/sdk";
// Call smart contract
async function callContract(
blaze: Blaze<Kupmios, ColdWallet>,
scriptAddress: string,
datum: Core.PlutusData,
redeemer: Core.PlutusData
) {
const scriptAddr = Core.addressFromBech32(scriptAddress);
// Find UTxO at script address
const utxos = await blaze.provider.getUnspentOutputs(scriptAddr);
const scriptUtxo = utxos[0]; // Select appropriate UTxO
const tx = await blaze
.newTransaction()
.addInput(scriptUtxo, redeemer)
.payLovelace(scriptAddr, 5_000_000n) // Send back to script
.provideScript(scriptUtxo.output().script()!) // Provide validator
.complete();
return tx;
}
UTxO Tracking (Prisma):
import { prisma } from "./db";
import { Core } from "@blaze-cardano/sdk";
async function trackUTxOs(address: Core.Address, provider: Kupmios) {
const utxos = await provider.getUnspentOutputs(address);
for (const utxo of utxos) {
const output = utxo.output();
await prisma.utxo.upsert({
where: {
txHash_outputIndex: {
txHash: utxo.input().transactionId(),
outputIndex: utxo.input().index()
}
},
create: {
txHash: utxo.input().transactionId(),
outputIndex: utxo.input().index(),
address: output.address().toBech32(),
lovelace: output.amount().coin().toString(),
assets: JSON.stringify(output.amount().multiasset()),
datumHash: output.datum()?.hash().toString()
},
update: {
address: output.address().toBech32(),
lovelace: output.amount().coin().toString()
}
});
}
}
Dolos Integration (Optional):
// Dolos is a lightweight Cardano node that can replace Ogmios
// It's resource-efficient and perfect for backend services
// docker-compose.yml example:
/*
version: '3.8'
services:
dolos:
image: ghcr.io/txpipe/dolos:latest
ports:
- "50051:50051" # gRPC
- "3000:3000" # REST API
volumes:
- ./dolos-data:/data
environment:
- DOLOS_NETWORK=mainnet
- DOLOS_DATA_DIR=/data
*/
// Use with Blaze via Kupmios:
const provider = new Kupmios({
ogmiosUrl: "http://localhost:1337", // Dolos gRPC endpoint
kupoUrl: "http://localhost:1442" // Kupo (UTxO indexer)
});
Wallet Management:
import { Blaze, Core, HotWallet } from "@blaze-cardano/sdk";
import * as bip39 from "bip39";
// Generate new wallet
async function createWallet() {
const mnemonic = bip39.generateMnemonic();
const wallet = await HotWallet.fromMasterkey(
mnemonic,
provider
);
return {
mnemonic,
address: wallet.address.toBech32()
};
}
// Restore wallet from mnemonic
async function restoreWallet(mnemonic: string) {
const wallet = await HotWallet.fromMasterkey(
mnemonic,
provider
);
return wallet;
}
// Multi-signature setup
async function createMultiSig(
publicKeys: Core.PublicKey[],
requiredSigs: number
) {
const script = Core.nativeScriptFromJson({
type: "atLeast",
required: requiredSigs,
scripts: publicKeys.map(pk => ({
type: "sig",
keyHash: pk.hash()
}))
});
return Core.addressFromScript(script);
}
