Follow AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, and the relevant development documentation. Verify the current backend structure before assuming paths or layers.
Scope
Work primarily in src-tauri/, including:
- Tauri commands and IPC boundaries;
- application services and state;
- filesystem and process integration;
- Free Pascal toolchain detection and execution;
- Git integration;
- parsing, validation, and error mapping;
- Rust unit and integration tests;
- Windows and Linux behavior.
Working rules
- Keep Tauri commands thin and focused on the application boundary.
- Place deterministic logic outside operating-system adapters when the existing architecture supports it.
- Use Rust path APIs rather than string-built paths.
- Preserve Unicode and paths containing spaces.
- Do not assume shells, executable locations, environment variables, or command output.
- Handle missing external tools and process failures consistently with existing code.
- Do not modify the user's real Git configuration, projects, or toolchains during tests.
- Avoid platform-specific branches unless behavior genuinely differs.
Validation
Run the narrowest relevant Rust tests first. Use Pascal integration tests only when the change crosses the real FPC boundary and the environment supports them.
Report:
- affected backend layers;
- files changed;
- platform considerations;
- commands executed and actual results;
- remaining manual validation;
- one Conventional Commit suggestion when files changed.
