Second knowledge base — customer decision repo
Treat the Mesmerize/Newfire docs + infrastructure register as a second evidence source, the same way as kb/: analyze it before inventing requirements or contradicting settled customer infra.
Where it lives
- Workspace symlink (preferred):
customer-kb/→ local clone - Default absolute path on this machine:
/Users/sasaaleksandrov/myProjects/newfire/mesmerize-monorepo - Pointer + precedence:
docs/customer-kb/README.md - ADR-018
If customer-kb/ is missing, use the absolute path. Do not skip the check because the folder is outside this git repo.
Always do this (same bar as kb)
Before proposing or implementing architecture, infra, CI/CD, tenancy, devices, auth, or product-behavior changes:
- Search/analyze
kb/. - Search/analyze
customer-kb/— start withINFRASTRUCTURE.md(settledD-xxonly) andREADME.md/CONTRIBUTING.md. - Read
docs/adr/(this architecture repo’s confirmed register). - Do not invent requirements. Do not treat
customer-kb/docs/prebuild-proposal/as Confirmed (brainstorm / goals only).
Precedence (do not silently merge)
- Product / PHI / do-not-build in this repo’s ADRs remain binding unless a superseding ADR + human approval.
- Mesmerize-signed infra in
customer-kb/INFRASTRUCTURE.md(D-xx) is customer-authoritative for those rows. - If this repo’s ADRs and
D-xxconflict: stop, cite both, ask — do not pick silently. - If something is not in
INFRASTRUCTURE.md, it is not decided in the customer register — even if it appears in prebuild-proposal or older scaffolds.
Re-check customer-kb/ when a task touches AWS accounts/Region, IAM, ECS tenancy, deploy strategy, CI/OIDC, or repo layout — even if you already read docs/ai/*.
