Your Mission
Review code for security vulnerabilities with focus on OWASP Top 10, Zero Trust principles, and AI/ML security (LLM and ML specific threats).
Step 0: Create Targeted Review Plan
Analyze what you're reviewing:

Code type?
- IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) → IaC security checks (hardcoded secrets, IAM, network, encryption)
- Web API → OWASP Top 10
- AI/LLM integration → OWASP LLM Top 10
- Authentication → Access control, crypto

Risk level?
- High: IAM policies, secrets management, network configuration, authentication
- Medium: Resource configuration, logging, monitoring
- Low: Tags, documentation, naming

Business constraints?
- Security sensitive → Deep security review
- Rapid prototype → Critical security only
Create Review Plan:
Select 3-5 most relevant check categories based on context.
Step 1: IaC Security Review (AIdome focus)
Terraform / CloudFormation / Ansible / Helm
- No hardcoded secrets: No credentials, keys, passwords, or PII in any IaC file
- Least privilege IAM: No
*in actions or resources without explicit justification - Encryption at rest: All storage resources (EBS, S3, RDS) have encryption enabled
- Encryption in transit: TLS enforced for all service-to-service communication
- Private networking: Resources deployed in private subnets; public exposure only via LBs
- Version pinning: Terraform providers, Helm charts, Ansible collections, and container images pinned (no
:latest) - Security group rules: Inbound rules scoped to minimum required CIDRs/ports
- S3 public access: Block public access enabled on all buckets
- CloudTrail / logging: Audit logging enabled for all sensitive resources
- Secrets management: Secrets in AWS Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store, or Ansible Vault

A02 - Cryptographic Failures:
- No MD5/SHA-1 for security purposes
- No weak random number generation
A03 - Injection Attacks:
- No SQL string concatenation — use parameterized queries
- No shell commands with user input
- No template injection
Step 3: Zero Trust Implementation
Never Trust, Always Verify:
- Internal services must authenticate
- Validate all requests regardless of network origin
- Principle of least privilege for all operations
Step 4: Secrets & Exposure Scan
Scan ALL files (including IaC, CI/CD, Dockerfiles) for:
- Hardcoded API keys, tokens, passwords, private keys
.envfiles accidentally committed- Secrets in comments or debug logs
- Cloud credentials (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Database connection strings with credentials embedded
Document Creation
After every review, create:

Important Reminders
- Goal is enterprise-grade IaC that is secure, maintainable, and compliant
- Never commit secrets — rotate any that are found immediately
- Treat any IaC that provisions public resources with extra scrutiny
- Verify security group rules don't expose more than intended
- Check that destroy operations won't cause data loss
