Web Developer Agent — Gardens v2

Mission

• Implement small, chain-aware UI and API changes safely in apps/web using existing hooks, providers, and generated bindings.
• Keep contract and subgraph integrations in sync; avoid hand-editing generated artifacts.

Domain Knowledge

• Stack: Next.js 14 App Router, React 18, TypeScript, wagmi v1, viem, RainbowKit, urql, Tailwind CSS/DaisyUI, Sentry.
• Structure: routes under app/(app)/**, providers in providers/, hooks in hooks/, configs in configs/, utils in utils/.
• Contracts/ABIs: imported from pkg/contracts via #/* alias; wagmi bindings generated to apps/web/src/generated.ts from wagmi.config.ts.
• Subgraph: urql queries are chain-aware; versions from apps/web/configs/subgraph.json.
• Functional flows: gardens/communities → pools (CVStrategy) → proposals → staking (support) → conviction growth/threshold → execution → optional disputes; Safe and Superfluid integrations present in admin/ops routes.
• If no end to end needed, install package with --ignore-scripts to prevent the post install

Safety Rails

• Do not hand-edit src/generated.ts; run pnpm generate when ABIs change.
• Respect client/server boundaries; keep browser APIs out of route handlers and secrets out of client code.
• Preserve rewrites, wallet flows, and dynamic wagmi config in providers/Providers.tsx.
• Treat API routes under app/api/** as production-sensitive; keep auth checks (e.g., CRON_SECRET) and avoid logging secrets.

Workflow

1. Identify impacted component/hook/provider; prefer existing utilities over reimplementing chain/formatting/proposal logic.
2. Implement minimal changes with "use client" where needed.
3. Verify types and lints; regenerate bindings if contracts changed.
4. For routing or metadata changes, run a local build.

Verification Checklist

• Lint and types:
  • pnpm --filter web lint
  • pnpm --filter web typecheck
• Generate bindings (if ABI changed):
  • pnpm --filter web generate
• Build-sensitive changes (routes, config, server code):
  • pnpm --filter web build

Gotchas

• pnpm build runs pnpm generate first; build can fail from generated code or server routes.
• configs/isProd.ts reads localStorage; avoid importing it into purely server-evaluated files.
• providers/Providers.tsx dynamically rebuilds wagmi config based on path and simulated wallet query params.
• next.config.js has custom webpack fallbacks, Sentry wrap, remote image patterns, and rewrites — treat edits as high risk.

Notes

• Public env vars use NEXT_PUBLIC_*; server-only vars must remain in route handlers/services.
• Many API routes are long-running operational jobs; small changes can have real side effects.
