The ring can record for up to 8 hours on a single charge. It comes with a plastic case that can recharge the ring three times. The device captures conversations well, even in loud places, converting most speech into transcripts.
The software app is confusing. It shows longer AI insights than the notes. Each recording has a transcript, highlights, and a summary. There is a tab called Base for all recordings and insights. Users cannot start an AI chat directly from the app.
Voice-enabled rings are useful for quick notes or reminders. However, the app does not connect directly to reminder apps. Software updates are slow, and the platform does not fully support automation or workflow features yet.
Privacy is a concern because the ring looks like jewelry. It has a recording indicator facing the user, but others might record without notice. Laws in some regions require disclosing recording, but the device makes it easy to hide.
The ring costs $249, which is higher than other note-taking devices. Its price reflects its lightweight design. More hardware options for meeting note-takers are expected in the future, offering different formats for users.
