shot-scraper 1.12 includes WebP screenshot automation. The tool can now take a WebP screenshot of a web page. The --quality option controls the WebP file quality, defaulting to lossless. WebP screenshots typically result in smaller file sizes than JPEG or PNG equivalents. This functionality was initially developed to generate screenshots for the commit-rewriter tool. The tool uses Playwright for its operation.
