Sebastian Raschka published a second part of his annual LLM research paper lists, covering the period from July to December 2025. This follows a previous list shared in June for paid Substack subscribers.
The author skims abstracts but reads only a small fraction of the papers. He maintains these organized lists to reference them when working on specific projects.
Categories and Scope
The research paper list is categorized into sections, including evaluating LLMs and understanding reasoning, as well as other reinforcement learning methods for LLMs. A table of contents allows navigation to specific categories within the article.
Raschka also published an annual review titled "State of LLMs 2025: Progress, Problems, and Predictions" on the same day. The research paper list was separated from this review to improve readability and reduce page length.
